Job Description
The Fuel Pump Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supervising preventive and corrective maintenance of fuel pumps at stations, ensuring their efficient operation according to approved safety and quality standards. They also contribute to troubleshooting, improving equipment readiness, and enhancing operational system performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform regular and preventive maintenance of fuel pumps and measurement systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical malfunctions as quickly as possible.
- Monitor pump performance and submit regular technical reports on their operational status.
- Check calibration and ensure measurement accuracy according to regulatory requirements.
- Supervise maintenance contractors when needed and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Ensure implementation of occupational safety procedures during maintenance work.
- Document all technical operations in the approved system and prepare malfunction reports.
- Propose technical solutions to improve pump quality and efficiency while reducing malfunctions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum experience of 2-4 years in fuel pump maintenance or station fuel equipment.
- Strong knowledge of fuel pump operating and maintenance systems (Gilbarco, Wayne or equivalent).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to use measurement and testing tools.
- Knowledge of occupational safety aspects and fuel station regulations.
- Ability to work in the field and travel between station locations.
- Proficiency in computer use and technical reporting software.
- Valid driver’s license.
